Three Weeks

What a week filled with family, friends, great visits, yummy dinners and shopping! Grandma & Grandpa Hone came to visit last week and meet Anna. We had a wonderful, long visit with them. We kept busy this week making a trip to Lafayette and visiting the local Zoo (which is AWESOME by the way!). Then we attended Pumpkinfest in Zionsville with the Borlik Family clan. Greg & I had our first night out last Friday to attend our good friend Molly's 30th Birthday bash while Gigi, Nonna and Papa kept Anna entertained for the evening. Anna is already three weeks old and GROWING - I think she is close to 9 1/2 lbs now. She changes so much everyday and we are having so much fun together - I just LOVE mommyhood:)

Two Weeks

Today, Anna is exactly two weeks old and time seems to be flying by! Here is what Anna has been up to this past week:
*Nurses or takes a bottle typically every 3 hours
*Sleeps (A LOT..at least during the day, working on getting her days/nights worked out:)
*Alert time on the activity mat
*Tolerates tummy time
*Loves her swing
*Enjoys being read to and listening to music
*LOVES being held
*Taking long walks in her stroller

We've enjoyed all the visits from family and friends this past week. We feel very blessed by all the love and support everyone has given us during this special time.

On Friday, Anna & I hosted a playdate with Mommy friends Jackie, Molly, Megan, Becky & Abby and the babies Will, Cash, Carter, Max and Claire. Unfortunately I only took a couple of pics but there will be plenty of more times spent together with these friends.

First Week Home

We are settling in at home and loving every minute with our little one. We are so in love with Anna, I've never experienced a feeling like this. We are learning to get to know one another and she truly changes every day. Thus far, Anna has been a very happy baby - she nurses like a champ and has been sleeping fairly well throughout the night. I am feeling better with each day - a HUGE thank you to my Mom who has been a great help. Greg ended up going back to work Wednesday so my Mom has been coming over early in the morning hours and helping throughout the day. It has allowed me to get my rest and build my energy back up. Yesterday, Anna had her first week appt with Dr. Bergstein. Everything looks great and she was a healthy 8lbs (hopefully by Sunday she will be back to her birth weight). Today, we had our first outing - walking and having lunch at Oh Yumm, followed by stopping at the Flying Cupcake and Kids Ink shopping for books for Anna. We've been very spoiled this week by family and friends who have been bringing us delicous dinners and wonderful visits. We're looking forward to introducing Anna to all our family and friends!
