Well, apologies for my blog hiatus - it has been a very BUSY past couple of month. Santa was VERY nice this year and brought me a new laptop so I have no excuse not to blog! I will try to upload and catch everyone up about what we've been up to recently. Anna has been an absolute joy to be around - lots of smiles, laughs and baby babble. She is growing and changing each and every day. AND just rolled over for the first time the morning after Christmas for all our family to see! We had a wonderful time celebrating Anna's first Christmas and are eager to ring in the New Year 2011.

Two Months
Time is flying by, can you belive Anna is 2 months old! Today at the doctor's office she weighed in at 12 lbs 8.5 oz (90th percentile) and 24.5 in long(97th percentile) - WOW, Anna is one big, growing girl!!! Anna is becoming such a joy to be around. Things she is doing this month:
*Smiling
*Cooing
*Loves being talked to
*Enjoys long walks
*LOVES her swing
*Sleeping well (6 hours at night, sometimes longer)
*Enjoys activity mat time - kicks her legs and swings her arms around
*Strog grasp
*Fairly good head control (Dr. Bergstein was impressed)
*Nurses well during the day and enjoys her bottle at night with Dad
*LOVES bath time
*Still fussy during the late afternoon/evening(The MD said this will hopefully improve within the next month).
Last week we started bedtime routine in which Anna will go down around 7-8PM, Greg will give a bottle around 11PM and she will sleep till 5AM or later - it has done wonders for me getting a full night sleep:)!!!
We're looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving in Iowa. We'll see how Anna handles the 10 hour car trip and being away from home for six days. I know one thing for sure - she & I will definitely be missing her Dad (unfortunately Greg couldn't get enough time off work to join us this year). I've posted some updated pictures below - Enjoy!
Hanging out in the swing - so darn cute:)

One Month
Anna had her first month check-up this past Wednesday. Her current stats: 9 lbs 15 oz (75th percentile in weight) and 22 3/4 in long (97th percentile length) - she is one growing girl! We're slowly getting into a routine with Anna nursing every 3 hours throughout the day and sleeping with 4-5 hour stretches through the night. She can be quite fussy throughout the day but walks/movement tend to calm her down. Her swing has become her best friend and of course she loves riding in her stroller! She continues to lift her head well and focus's on objects. We're just happy all went well with her appt and Dr. Bergstein stated she is a healthy and thriving baby:)
