Girlfriends

It has been a tough week with lots of thoughts and prayers to my Grandmother Williams who is currently in hospice. It was nice to be able to get together with friends and just have a relaxing, fun 'girls' night.

That's What Friends Are For

Celebration! This past weekend we had a wonderful time with our friends celebrating. One of the best parts about being pregnant is three of my close friends are pregnant as well! On Friday night, we went to Binkley's with the Foxworthy's. Megan is a long time high school friend and is currently in her 24th week. Carter Thomas Foxworthy will be due this upcoming June. Saturday night we had quite the group at the new restaurant Northside Social. With three of us pregnant, an upcoming wedding and our close friends the Stevnings purchasing a new house - we had quite the celebration and plenty to catch up about! Hopefully I'll be able to post a picture soon:)

So much SNOW!

This past weekend we drove out to Iowa along with my parents to have a long visit with my Grandma & Grandpa Williams. Greg & I enjoyed sharing the news with family and friends during the long car ride. I loved being able to tell Grandma & Grandpa the 'big news' in person and we enjoyed a weekend filled with long conversations, games, playing cards, cross country skiing and bowling.

7th Week Ultrasound

It's Positive!

Welcome!

Welcome to our blog! We thought this would be a great way to keep everyone informed as we prepare for the arrival of Baby Borlik. This is my very first post and I am quickly learning about the world of blogging. First, I thought I would catch everyone up on the past few weeks. We first discovered I was pregnant on January 13th, right before heading out the door to have dinner with our good friends the Barretts. I think we were in a state of shock at the time- excited but shocked. Luckily we were off to Vail, CO a week later for an amazing ski trip which allowed the news to sink in between the two of us. Since then, we haven't stopped talking about baby names, planning the nursery and what we think this new chapter in our lives will hold. I am currently in my 9th week of pregnancy and other than the constant feeling of nausea and fatigue, my pregnancy seems a bit surreal to me. We had our first ultrasound of Baby Borlik in my 7th week on February 4 (Greg's Birthday!). It was amazing - we saw a 4 cm peanut with the tiniest heartbeat racing away. Dr. Pease said the baby looked healthy and I won't be back until my 12th week appointment. I hope you will continue to visit as we will continue to update!
