Well, I realize I have been a bit MIA on the blog these past two weeks but there is not too much new to report. In fact, this pregnancy seems completely surreal to me except for the small (or BIG!) changes that I am noticing with my body and yes, I am still waiting for that BABY BUMP! I tell you, I am definitely learning that I need to gain some patience and start to enjoy my time being pregnant. We've had a great (and busy) time these past two weeks spent with good friends and LOTS of basketball! I've included some pictures with my two dear pregnant friends from a cookout we had last weekend. As you can tell, I have a lot of catching up to do!

Our next appt with the MD is in 1 week- I am anxiously awaiting and hope to find out what we're having...we'll see!!!

Celebration of Life
Last weekend I joined my family in Iowa to celebrate my Grandmother Williams life. Grandma Williams passed away the Friday before last from pancreatic cancer. I feel very fortunate to have spent this past Valentine's weekend with her - we had a wonderful visit and it allowed us to say our goodbye's to one another. Grandmother Williams was an amazing person who gave herself selflessly to her community, church and others. She was a wonderful grandmother who instilled the importance of family and faith in all of us. I hope to lead a life by her example. I will miss you very much Grandma.
12 Week Appointment
Yay, I am 12 weeks!!! I am feeling very relieved to reach the 12 week mark. Before driving out to Iowa last week, I had my 12 week appointment. Unfortunately Greg had to work but my Mom was happy enough to join me! Dr. Pease said everything looked good- the baby has a strong heartbeat in the 170's (it is expected to be high at this point) and she said the baby was the size of my palm! I was surprised to hear this although I can definitely tell my waist is thickening and my pudge is starting to push out:) I've included a belly shot so you can see how I am progressing. I have been feeling great this past week- no more bouts of nausea or fatigue and I am enjoying running again. Hopefully this feeling will last!
